On the way home from the Mission Control Conference in Charlotte, Amanda Moretto, Shawn Paullin, and Marty Rosica from Hawks and Company stopped at Brady Services and W.L. Gary to see their operations.

“The best parts of the Brady visit was the innovation room, seeing XOEye videos and the dispatch area,” said Shawn. “The innovation room was quite impressive and forward thinking, and that leads a bit into the dispatch cubicles.  With the treadmill desk, as well as the “dentist chair” in the innovation room, Brady is thinking outside the office set up box I am familiar with.  This is what working in an office will be or could be – in the near future. It allows employees comfort and exercise and a chance to relieve some stress while being productive.”

At W.L. Gary the team showed them how they use Excel to keep track of sales and quoted service work. “Danielle’s Excel knowledge was extremely impressive. She even sent me the spreadsheet she uses so I can copy all of her hard work and steal it and appear brilliant! I was looking for a way to keep track of quoted service work, and now I can put that spreadsheet to work.”

Their advice to anyone planning to visit another Synergy member would be to keep an open mind and take in different office set ups, software systems, and they way technology is used. “Consider what would or could work for you, as well as what may help the other company,” said Shawn.
