Synergy is excited to announce John Kotek of LMS as the winner of the 2024 Best Idea Challenge, held during Synergy’s Executives Forum.
This year’s Challenge featured ten outstanding ideas from Synergy members, each offering unique insights and creative approaches to improving their businesses. This award is unique because the winning idea is chosen by Synergy members, who vote during the meeting to select the most impactful and innovative idea from ten submissions shared by their peers.
John’s idea, an Uber Ride Home program, captured the attention of attendees for its simplicity, practicality, and focus on employee well-being. The program, inspired by Harrison Energy Partners (HEP), ensures employees have access to a safe ride home during unexpected circumstances—a reflection of LMS’s commitment to creating a supportive workplace culture.
As the winner, John received $4,000 to donate to the charity of his choice. He selected The Harrison House, a non-profit organization in Little Rock, Arkansas, that provides low-cost shelter to kidney and heart transplant and cancer patients and their families while they are in town for medical appointments.
“Harrison Energy Partners (HEP) are my friends and the company I learned the idea of Uber Ride Home for associates. I would like to donate the $4,000 in their honor and gratefulness to them for sharing and getting my associates home safe over the last decade.”
The Uber Ride Home program and the donation to The Harrison House reflect the values of collaboration, generosity, and community that Synergy members hold dear. This spirit of shared learning and giving back is what makes the Executives Forum—and the Synergy network as a whole—so impactful.
Congratulations to John Kotek for this well-deserved win, and thank you to all the Synergy members who participated in the Best Idea Challenge. Your willingness to share and learn from one another continues to strengthen our industry and make a difference in the communities we serve.
