Synergy’s 2023 Field Supervisors Forum, held in March, brought together members from across the country who were looking to enhance their leadership skills. We’re excited to share the success stories of three attendees who set goals during the forum.
Cordell Strait – Building Stronger Connections:
Cordell Strait (CSE) attended the forum with a goal to strengthen his connections with the team he leads. He expressed, “Since the supervisor forum, I have taken a more direct approach in getting to know the guys I lead on a more personal level, which has really improved my ability to lead them in the way that they need to be led. Still working on being able to spend more time with them, but the time I do spend with them is now more well spent.”
Gerald Lendzion – Fostering Mentorship and Team Engagement:
Gerald Lendzion (IMCOR) made a commitment during the forum to empower his field supervisors to allocate time for coaching, training, and to drive team member engagement. He shared, “Kyle (IMCOR’s service manager) and I have been working on a new action plan to get our senior techs into a mentor position. We will share our plan for that once it is finalized.”
Sam Farhoud – Finding Work-Life Balance:
Sam Farhoud (Gardiner) set a goal to work toward a plan with his direct leader that would allow for a more appropriate amount of unapplied time during normal business hours to support his team. He noted, “I would say that while we have made some strides in certain areas, I probably still have some more work to do. The largest hurdle we have, like many, has been staffing issues vs. workload as I constantly have to fill in the gaps. I will, however, say that I try to take less work home when possible and do not feel as guilty doing that since having gone to last year’s conference.”
These success stories highlight the impact of Synergy’s Field Supervisors Forum. These leaders have shown that setting goals, embracing personal growth, and fostering positive change are essential aspects of effective leadership. Synergy’s forums continue to be a catalyst for leadership success, and we look forward to hearing more inspiring stories after the 2024 Field Supervisors Forum which will be held March 10-12th in Rosemont, IL.
Did you accomplish what you’d hoped when you left the meeting? If not, how can we help you? If you completed your action plan, congratulations! Email Julie with your success story.
